Mitarashi-matsuri, a festival that is held every summer at Shimogamo-shrine in Kyoto.
Only during the festival, people are allowed to step into the pond with deity water of the shrine. Soak feet in the beautiful and cool pond, light a candle, then have the water of the shrine.
This is a festival for people to remove their sins and impurities and....
